My research involves mathematical modelling of the long-term coevolution of life and the abiotic environment. I am particularly interested in the different potential interpretations of the relationship between Darwinian evolution and the Gaia hypothesis. This research theme can be summarized via the question “What is the impact of Darwinian evolution on the stability of Earth’s climate system?”
